This is an elevated copycat of the iconic Tagalong Girl Scout cookie. Made using a Trefoil shortbread cookie as the base, so you still get to support your local troop with a purchase.

Tagalongs were always my favorite when I was a kid (and a Girl Scout). Now the milk chocolate on them is a bit too sweet for me, and swapping it for dark chocolate has made me fall in love with these cookies again.

One box of Trefoils has enough to make about 40 of these homemade Tagalongs! They store very well in the freezer so you can stash them away for whenever the craving hits.
